Young SONE Competition
The Young Soloists of New England Competition will be announced the details for its 2019 edition in January 2019.
Soloists of New England (SONE) cultivates performance skills and inspires artistic excellence in the future generations of musicians by offering opportunities to perform as young aspiring artists. Our mission is to help the next generation of artists deepen their musical education and professional development. We assist them to raise appreciation for the music in our society and pursue musical careers.
The 2nd Young Soloists of New England Competition
Winners of the competition will be chosen through a recording audition process. Selected Young SONE winners will be given the opportunity to perform at SONE's upcoming concert at one of the most prestigious music venues: Bruno Walter Auditorium at Lincoln Center in New York
SONE Concert at Bruno Walter Auditorium will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 7:00 PM
Instrumental Soloists ; Piano, Violin, Viola, Cello and Woodwind
Open to young musicians of all nationalities and countries
Age 9 to 17
Participants are required to submit a video recording as a part of their application materials to enter the Competition.
Do not exceed 8 minutes.
From the standard repertoire from any period (Baroque, Classical, Romantic or Contemporary periods).
One movement of a Sonata or Concerto will be accepted as a separate piece.
Contestants must perform by memory.
Only unedited video made within 6 months of the deadline can be accepted.
Winners will perform at SONE's concert at Bruno Walter Auditorium at Lincoln Center in New York.

The application materials acceptance will be closed by the end of the day on Monday October 15, 2018
Application fee is $45. (Application fee is not refundable.)

NO PERFORMANCE FEE
Only ONE piece within a time limit (8 min) will be performed at the SONE's Concert.
Winners must bring their own piano accompanist.
Winners are responsible for their own expenses (travel,housing accommodation,etc.) related to the Concert Participation.
Detailed recital Guidelines will be e-mailed to the winners along with the notification of their award.
SONE artists and advisory committee members will evaluate audition materials.
